Network Rail has issued an update to passengers following severe flooding in Northampton caused by the River Nene bursting its banks in the early hours of the morning (Monday 25 November).

- East Coast Main Line passengers are reminded to check before they travel due to further digital signalling testing taking place this upcoming weekend.
- Thameslink and Great Northern services between London and Peterborough/King’s Lynn will be affected, with rail replacement bus services in place.
- It’s part of continuing work on the £1.4 billion East Coast Digital Programme.
COMPLETED: West of England line reopens after important renewal work
Trains are running again between Axminster and Exeter St Davids after Network Rail teams worked around the clock for two weeks in order to renew the line.

- No long-distance trains will operate between St Neots and London King's Cross on either Saturday 30 November or Sunday 1 December.

TRU thanks customers after five weeks of vital upgrade work
On Friday (22 November), TRU completed a series of rail upgrades between Dewsbury and Leeds. Spanning five weeks – excluding weekends – engineers worked around the clock, whilst colleagues from TPE and Northern kept customers on the move via diversionary routes and rail replacement services.
