Thameslink & Great Northern service changes for in-cab signal tests
- East Coast Main Line passengers are urged to check before they travel due to further digital signalling testing taking place at the end of November.
- Thameslink and Great Northern services between London and Peterborough/King’s Lynn will be affected, with rail replacement bus services in place.
- It’s part of continuing work on the £1.4bn East Coast Digital Programme.

- East Coast Main Line passengers are urged to check before they travel due to further digital signalling testing taking place at the end of November.
- No long-distance trains will operate between St Neots and London King's Cross on either Saturday 30 November or Sunday 1 December
- It’s part of continuing work on the £1.4bn East Coast Digital Programme.
East Kilbride-Glasgow line to close for 16-week £140m electrification upgrade
From January 2025, engineers will be working around-the-clock for 16-weeks to deliver major engineering works as part of the project to electrify the railway between East Kilbride and Glasgow.

Important milestone reached as bridge deck and temporary staircases installed for new footbridge at St Erth
The bridge deck and temporary staircases for Network Rail’s new accessible footbridge at St Erth have been successfully installed. The previous listed footbridge was carefully dismantled last weekend and will be taken to East Somerset heritage railway.
ONE WEEK TO GO: West of England line between Axminster and Exeter to close for two weeks for important upgrade work
Buses will replace trains between Axminster and Exeter St Davids from Saturday 9 November to Friday 22 November whilst we make track upgrades in the Honiton area.
